Potential Attendance The International Measurement University is open to young graduated professionals, Ph.D. students, young researchers and engineers who want to improve their know-how of the measurement methods, processes, and instruments. The focus of IMU is to review the fundamentals of the measurement science, applicable to all fields of engineering, chemistry, biology, medicine and environmental science. Students in are invited to attend the School. The above invitation is reinforced by the recent strategic documents of the BIPM that have identified chemistry as the field to which the major investments are addressed for the development of metrology in the next years. It is a popular opinion, among metrologists, that biochemical, clinical and environmental measurements will receive similar attention in the near future. This scenario is likely to create a high demand of top specialists in very different areas, with an extremely high qualification in the fundamentals of the measurement science. This School should therefore represent the most qualified answer to this demand for a high qualification.
